More Paper Pumpkin Fun!

Just got my second project of my paper pumpkin subscription! I have loved both projects so far, and can't wait to see what arrives next month. To join in on the fun, visit www.mypaperpumpkin.com to sign up, and sign up under me--Lora Rampino. Don't miss out on the next ready to make project!

For this month's project, we made four cards. The kit included 3 stamps, a stamping spot in cranberry crisp, linen thread, buttons and paper cut to size.

So super cute, and easy to put together. There are two options in the sayings. I personally love the "you kick booty" option!

You could also use the "love your guts" option. Best part is the stamps are yours to keep to make even more creative projects.

Spring has sprung!

Finally, the temperatures are rising and the first signs of spring are upon us! Perfect time to create a new wreath for our door...
I took a plain foam wreath and covered it in burlap to give me a nice neutral background then added various flowers to the wreath--creams, as well as some patterned fabric from Stampin' Up. The patterned fabric added the perfect touch of spring with oranges, purples and greens.

The wreath is going up tomorrow--no turning back now spring. The temperatures better stick around because I know my wreath is.

Mother's Day with Bling

It's never too early to start planning for Mother's Day! Today, I had my kid's day out and my attendees made a frame and card for their moms. I usually hold these camps once a month on an early release day. We have some pretty talented crafters!

I started the card with melon mambo for the base, and used two stamp sets--Hearts a Flutter and teeny tiny phrases. I love hearts a flutter because it has dies that perfectly coordinate with all the stamps! Finished off the card with some bling--what mom doesn't like a little bling!

Ombre Technique

It's time for our monthly demonstrator meeting, and this month's technique or theme is the ombre technique! Such a fun, and versatile technique...here is my take at it:
This technique is when you take colors in the same color with varying hues....in this example I used blue and arranged various blues in a progression. This technique can be done with stamps, paper, markers etc.

Want to join in on our monthly demonstrator shoebox? Now is the time to sign up! From now until May 31st, anyone who becomes a Stampin' Up demonstrator gets an additional $30 in FREE merchandise to add to their $99 starter kit. Want more information? Contact me today!

Birthday Card....masculine style!

So, my son is heading to a birthday in a little bit and I always love creating a handmade card to go with the gift! I have to be super careful because at the age of 10, we need to make sure the card is acceptable and "cool" enough.
I used the great stamp set called "Great Sports"...the perfect set for the tween years. My son even gave me a high five for this one---phew!

Artisan Embellishments...one more time!

The Stampin' Up mini catalog is good through the end of this month. The Artisan Embellishment kit is just one of the many products I have come to love in the mini.

My upcoming class on the April 21st will be using this very kit to create 5 cards with envelopes (for more details visit my face book page at: www.facebook.com/handmadecreationsbylora). Here is one of the cards we will be making at the camp:
It's the perfect card for the new couple! Remember to stamp a little love!
