Happy 50th!

I know the 4th of July constitutes lots of celebrating all around the USA, and its no different for my family. Not only do we celebrate our freedom on that day but my older brother, Paul was born on the 4th....another wonderful reason to celebrate! This year is a big milestone for him.... I thought a very special card celebrating his day was in order.

 I stuck with a red, white and blue theme but added a 5-0 in glimmer paper to mark the special occasion. I hope that this card shows him that he is a special guy that brings "sparkle" to our family. Happy 50th Birthday Paul...love ya!

Label Love

Every year when the new catalog comes out, I get my wish list ready and this year is no different. Another new stamp set--Label Love--is used to make this card.

I also used the new washi tape from the catalog--I love them all! Its the perfect accent piece to any card or project.

New Catalog Open House

So, my regular followers know I've been prepping for my upcoming open house on the 23rd of June. I came up with this card using the new stamp set, Six Sided Sampler.

Its quick and easy, and can be used for any occasion with a slight sentiment change. Here is a close up of 3 of the 8 hexagon images that are included in this great set (by the way, there is a coordinating hexagon punch too)!

This card also uses  four new colors: smoky slate, pistachio pudding,  coastal cabana, and strawberry slush! After almost 7 years of being a demonstrator for Stampin' Up, I'm still just as excited for a new catalog!

Butterfly bookmark

 I am beginning to prep for my annual open house on Sunday, June 23rd. One of the projects that my attendees always makes is a bookmark. This is the design I came up with for this year!

I really like how it turned out. I used a crumb cake base with a strip of the new washi tape--gingham garden-- as well as the new in color pistachio pudding. I finished off the bookmark with a punched butterfly, and added a little bling.

Stamp Case Legal pad holder

It's time for the new Stampin' Up catalog, and I'm gearing up for my annual open house on Sunday, June 23rd! I hold the event every year, and we have tons of fun making fun projects, and giving away raffles! One of the projects that all the attendees will make is a legal pad holder made from a clear stamp case.
