Cupcake kind of birthday!

One of my favorite sets in the Stampin' Up catalog is Create a Cupcake, and its going to be in the new catalog too! I needed to create a masculine birthday card, and this was the perfect set.

I used soft suede as my base along with island indigo, marina mist and the polka dot designer series paper. Added a soda pop top that I flattened in my big shot and added a sentiment. Its the perfect card for the perfect guy in your life!

How cute would this card be for a promotion or a graduation? I used the stamp set Moving Forward to create the card along with itty bitty banners for the sentiment.

It's the perfect card to give that special person that achieved something big.

I absolutely love the stamp set Moving Forward by Stampin' Up! Not only do I get to use this great stamp set but a part of the proceeds goes to the Ronald Mc Donald House Charity. It's a win-win in my book!

Moving Forward

Every year Stampin' Up picks a stamp set where they donate a part of the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House. This year, that stamp set was Moving Forward--love the set! I am holding a card class on Sunday using only this stamp set to create 5 cards with envelopes. Here is one of the cards:

Teacher Appreciation---let them know they are stars!

As most of you know, next week begins a week long celebration of teachers (May 6-10). What better way to put my creativity to work!

I wanted to make sure to show the teachers how important they are in the development of our students, and show them how much we appreciate them! So, with every event (at least in my life), comes a theme....we are treating our staff like stars for a week--red carpet and all.

We are decking out the school with red carpets in front of each of the classroom doors along with a star with each staff members name. In addition, I've made personalized frames that will be hanging from the door knobs of all the 23 classrooms teachers (I'll post pictures early next week of what the doors and school looked like when we are done)!

There will be lots of pampering for our stars including a day to grab a massage, a "soup"er star luncheon, and of course more little hand stamped surprises. This is just one of the treats every staff member will receive next week:

We have more treats in store...so check back soon for other ideas! I hope the staff feels appreciated because this is one mom,/volunteer that truly does appreciate everything they do to help my kids grow!
